Instagram’s Reels Faces Criticism for Inappropriate Content Targeting Young Users
The Wall Street Journal recently investigated the inappropriate content delivered by Instagram’s Reels video service to users interested in children. To assess the platform’s response, the Journal set up test accounts that followed profiles of young gymnasts, cheerleaders, and teen and preteen influencers. The outcome, as reported by the Journal, was unsettling.
