New York City  Police  Commissioner Jessica Tisch revealed at a press conference that video evidence showed a hooded gunman waiting for five minutes before attacking Thompson from behind. The assailant fired multiple rounds, striking the 50-year-old executive in the back and leg. “This does not appear to be a random act of violence,” Tisch emphasized. “It was premeditated and deliberate.” Despite extensive efforts, the gunman remains at large, prompting authorities to offer a $10,000 reward for information.
